We are a collective of musicians and artists known as MAM (Musicians Against Musk). Our group has come together with a shared mission to advocate for a more equitable and inclusive future in interplanetary development and exploration. We have observed with great concern the attitudes and remarks expressed by Elon Musk on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Many of these statements have been interpreted as racially insensitive, and we believe they reflect a broader ideology that could potentially undermine the values of diversity and inclusivity that are essential for any future endeavors in space exploration.

As we look toward the future of interplanetary development, it is crucial that the leaders and visionaries shaping this new frontier embody principles of respect, equity, and justice for all. The potential for human expansion into space should not only be an opportunity for technological advancement but also a chance to redefine our societal norms and values. We believe that the involvement of individuals with contested ideologies can jeopardize this vision, fostering an environment that may perpetuate systemic inequalities. Therefore, we are calling for a movement to ban Elon Musk from any leadership role in interplanetary initiatives.

This is not merely an attack on an individual but a stand for a future where all voices are valued and respected, and where collaboration thrives without the shadows of prejudice. Together, we can advocate for a space community that reflects the richness of diversity and upholds the values of justice and respect for all.
